Corvalent is a privately held corporation founded in 1993 by a group of investors in Silicon Valley, California. This group pioneered the development of true industrial motherboard production using surface mount technology. Concentrating on the industrial related industry, they became the first company to introduce this technology into the industrial embedded market. Corvalent achieved the highest design ranking in the industrial sector. Corvalent's history and references prove the credibility of maintaining consistency, high quality, customization, excellent support, and longevity for its products.
Corvalent is a leading designer and manufacturer of long-life, PC-based embedded boards, motherboards and systems for embedded and industrial applications. Our product line includes single board computers, peripheral devices, desktops, handheld devices, custom enclosures and rack-mounted systems. System Assembler
Job Duties:
- Build PC industrial systems by following procedures, pictures, instructions, documents and verbal instructions. Attention to detail and quality is a must.
- Must possess good electro-mechanical abilities. Familiar with
- Knowledge of ESD and anti-static precautions.
- Follow procedures, utilize forms, update documentation, process needs and requirements to implement and maintain the process of systems manufacturing, including software installation and system test.
- Inspect against component specification, packaging, anti-static precautions, and software-loading instructions on all computer systems built in-house.
- Audit system kit against work order and custom configuration. Check cosmetic quality.
- Report information to Operations Supervisor on a regular basis, identifying and rectifying critical quality related problems.
- Maintain workstations in good working condition and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Responsible for quality inspection for all areas of work produced.
Required Skills, Knowedge and Abilities:
- High School graduate or G.E.D. One to three years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of ESD and anti-static precautions.
- Knowledge of AMIDIAG Test software.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency utilizing programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Logical thinking, medium analytical capability, and the ability to deal with simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to efficiently, clearly, and professionally communicate by both verbal and written English.

Corvalent is a successful organization looking for a Regional Sales Manager to jumpstart a territory to the next growth level. Be a driving team leader taking the challenge to chart a new course for a specific territory. Today business is growing, it's hot and it's demanding. Tomorrow's business will need warriors to crown the success. With 80% inside phone consultative selling and 20% quarterly travel are you up to the challenge? Can you consistently meet the challenge of receiving and making 30 to 40 calls per day? Are you the warrior that can take the quarterly road challenge? Are you a well-established relationship manager?
You will be required to create a territory business development plan within 30 days. You will locate, train and promote 100% outside representation coverage in your territory within 12 months. You will embark on quarterly travel/training programs with customers and representatives. Have a clear vision of total territory design activities and the ability to travel solo presenting the corporate overview/strategy within 6 months. The strong territory have the ability and must forecast a minimum of 750K per mo. in actual shipments, a five million dollar pipeline activity within 9 months from commence date with Corvalent.
Hardware Design Engineers
Corvalent is currently hiring highly skilled Hardware Design Engineers to lead the research and development of Intel Microprocessor technology and beyond.Experienced individuals will be responsible for managing development including hands on schematics reviews, layout interface and prototype/project management as well as participate on Intel worldwide technology's validation process of new product introductions.
Minimum of five years experience is required; applicants must show knowledge in the PC based X86 design and overall project management skills.
Orcad Capture schematics, Allegro PCB layout familiarization is a must, as well as complete product ownership from concept design to full production release. Individual shall be able to familiarize himself with Corvalent's technology and product development process within six months of employment.
Requirements:
BS/MS EE or related engineering degree or experience 5+ years of product design and development of x86 platform boards and in-depth knowledge of computer systems, including x86 architecture and systems peripherals.
Capable of using high speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. High initiative and flexibility to take on tough issues and commit to drive them to resolution. We would desire somebody who has some knowledge of firmware BIOS. MS-Project software proficiency is desired. If you also have experience with EDA tools for signal analysis and timing, that would be a bonus.
Field Applications Engineer
Corvalent is currently hiring skilled Field Applications Engineers with a minimum of five years experience in troubleshooting and recommending application solutions and advising customers on all product related issues. Tests and documents customer reported problems to determine cause of problem and recommends possible fix. Requires advanced knowledge of application of systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine functional specifications. Recommends modification of computer systems, design and/or specifications to rectify customer problems. Provides pre-sales and post-sales technical support for all products and makes recommendations to customers regarding appropriate products to purchase for their system. " Takes technical leadership role in assisting sales personnel in identifying solutions to customer's applications. Traveling required. Develop training programs to provide training for outside sales representatives as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years technical or field applications experience. Highly skilled and proficient in the theoretical and practical application of PC based platforms and products, including motherboards, single board computers, and firmware. Background and/or hands-on experience with embedded design methodologies, Windows OS and real-time operating systems. Troubleshooting creative skills a must. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Materials Management
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting cost, quality and schedule objectives for our products and services.
- Establishing resources required, including quantity and skill of personnel, equipment, and sub-contract support systems (i.e. material, factory planning, sub-contract procurement and management).
- Developing infrastructure requirements, including plant & equipment and factory/warehousing layouts.
- Developing the applicable manufacturing cost and schedule basis of estimate for products and programs.
- Manage overall phases of the procurement process for services, contracts, and materials.
- Control inventory levels, turns and its distribution for manufacturing, development, and customer support needs.
- Execute cost reduction through negotiations, DFM/DFA/DFT principles.
- Participate in source qualification and selection, and in make/buy decisions including contract negotiations both on shore and off shore.
- Maintain ISO 9001-2008 procedures and create if necessary.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through the management of a Manufacturing Safety Program.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in SMT and Electro-Mechanical manufacturing and materials management experience.
- Strong Manufacturing experience in SMT and electro-mechanical environment.
- Excellent communication and team building skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to negotiate OEM/ODM and Contract Manufacturing contracts both domestic and off-shore
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and a detailed understanding of manufacturing management and process improvement techniques including procurement and inventory techniques.
- Familiarity with X86 PC based technology and manufacturing is preferred.
- Background in finances is desirable.
- Proficiency in MRP, Excel and MS-Project is a must.
