| This quick installation guide was designed
to help with the basic configuration for the Hunter LPX.
More detailed information can be found in the installation guide.
More detailed information can be found in the installation guide.
Processor Installation: When installing the processor, make sure
to select the correct settings through jumpers JP10, JP9, and JP19 as
shown on the tables on the next page. Incorrect voltage selection can
cause damage to the motherboard and void the product warranty.
To install the processor follow these steps:
- Lift the lever of the ZIF socket and gently
insert the processor. Make sure the diagonal notch on the processor
matches the notch on the socket. This notch represents pin 1.
- Make sure the processor is inserted all
the way.
- Lower lever.
Memory Configuration: The Hunter LPX features on-board DIMM and
SIMMs memory capability, but they can not be used at the same time. It
features three memory banks (3 sockets) allowing from 8MB up to 256MB
of FPM, SDRAM or EDO DIMM memory. Also one bank (2 sockets) for SIMMs
modules from 8MB up to 128MB.
